Welcome to Family Abounds! If you're wondering what we're about, here's a quick overview of our blog and why we started it:
Who is this blog about? Who writes this blog?
Family Abounds is about our family and how we do life. You can meet the Cast and Crew here. Most of the posts are written by me, Becca, but the material is largely provided by the kid contingent.
What is the purpose of this blog?
This is a question that kept me from starting a blog for quite a while. I want this to be helpful to others, but at the same time I realize that I don't have much to offer in terms wisdom and wit. So, the primary goal of Family Abounds is to tell the story of our family's daily life. Exciting, right? ;) I hope that it will be an encouragement to other moms and families who are also wading through the every day.
When will the blog be updated?
My goal is to update 2-3 times per week. Each Friday I aim to post funny things the kids say and do throughout the week. In addition, I may post some of our favorite recipes, show you what I've found on Pinterest (what worked and what didn't), show you around our home and how we do things from school to laundry, and I'll probably do a fair amount of rambling about my thoughts on life and family.
We would love to hear from you!
Most of what I write is with the assumption that I'm not alone in this parenting world. It is reassuring to me when I run across a Facebook post or another blog where a mom is sharing candidly about her adventures in a very humble job. You'll notice that at the end of each post I ask a question to you, the reader. Please feel free to comment and share your own experiences that relate to that post. We would love to hear about your daily adventures, too!
What a cute website! I enjoyed "meeting" all of you. I notice that this last post I saw was from 2015. I know I took a "break" from posting on my site as well after a traumatic accident. I'm back again, and I'm hoping that you will feel encouraged to continue as well. Such a cute site and serving such a worthy cause. Reach out to me if you need connection and encouragement. -- Paula (teachsuzuki.blogspot.com)
